ショスタコーヴィチ生誕100周年記念として企画された「ショスタコーヴィチ生誕100周年記念レクチャー＆コンサート」の委嘱作品として2006年に作曲。当日レクチャーに訪れた音楽学者：D.I.ソレルティンスキー（ショスタコーヴィチの名付け親のご子息）に献呈。
初演はロシアの演奏家を中心とした特設ピアノ五重奏団により、東京（白寿ホール）にて催された。

Composed in 2006 as a commissioned work of "Shostakovich 100th Anniversary Lecture & Concert" planned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shostakovich's birth. Musicologist who visited the lecture on the day: Dedicated to D.I.Sorertinsky (the son of Shostakovich's godfather).
The premiere was held in Tokyo (Hakuju Hall) by a special piano quintet centered on Russian musicians.
