天人の五衰（Trumpet Solo）

この曲は1992年、トランペット奏者神代修氏の委嘱で作曲し、同氏によりプラハで初演されました。私にとっては20代最後の作品であるとともに、無伴奏というジャンルに初めて挑戦した曲として思い出深いものがあります。
曲名の「天人の五衰」とは仏教用語で、人間の数倍も長生きし、優雅に暮らしている天人が終焉の時に現れる五つの兆候のことを表したものですが、その生の優雅さと、終わりを悟ったときのいびつな舞、悲愴な感情、そして諦め・・・そんな情景を思い浮かべながら、筆を進めました。
今回、トランペット奏者の小林好夫氏がレコーディングのレパートリーとして取り上げていただくと言うことで、2014年改訂版として新たに手を加えさせていただきました。

This song was composed by trumpet player Osamu Kumashiro in 1992 and premiered in Prague by him. For me, this is the last work in my twenties, and it is also a memorable song that challenged the genre of unaccompaniment for the first time.
The title of the song, "The Five Decline of the Tenjin," is a Buddhist term that describes the five signs that appear at the end of a celestial man who lives gracefully and lives several times longer than humans. The distorted dance when I realized the end, the sad feelings, and giving up ... I proceeded with the writing while thinking of such a scene.
This time, Mr. Yoshio Kobayashi, a trumpet player, will take up the recording as a repertoire, so we have made a new modification as a 2014 revised version.
