アルバムに寄せて
　以前から中学、高校生やトランペット愛好家にとって参考となるようなCDを作りたいという思いがあったため、比較的難易度が高くなく、かつ完成度の高い魅力的な作品を中心に収録した。また、あまり知られていない作曲家の作品も積極的に取り上げるよう努めた。レパートリーの拡充に少しでも貢献できていれば幸いである。最後に、長年の友人である立原勇氏がこのCDのプロデューサーを務めてくれたこと、そして彼の《天人の五衰》を収録できたことに対して、感謝の意を表したい。 （文：小林好夫）

Foreword to the Album

For some time, I had hoped to produce a CD that would serve as a useful reference for junior high and high school students, as well as trumpet enthusiasts. With this goal in mind, I selected works that are not overly difficult yet are musically compelling and of high artistic quality. I also made a conscious effort to include pieces by lesser-known composers in the hope of broadening the repertoire, even if only in a small way.

Lastly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Isamu Tachihara, a longtime friend of mine, for serving as the producer of this CD, and for allowing the inclusion of his work “The Five Decays of the Celestial Being.”
